Far side of University Road

  • After the crossing, turn left and follow the path round to the crossing for the Newton Building Service Road.
  • This path has a tarmac surface with a moderate slope down.
  • Part of this path is overgrown, making it 80cm wide at it's narrowest.

Crossing the Newton Building Service Road

  • There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving both sides.
  • The road has a tarmac surface with a moderate slope down to the right as you cross.

Path along Newton Building Service Road

  • After the crossing, turn left and follow the path round the corner.
  • This path has a tarmac surface and is uneven with easy slopes. It is 100cm wide at its narrowest due to scaffolding.
  • As the path turns around the corner, there is a moderate slope down to a dropped kerb without tactile paving.
  • This leads to a wide pedestrian path with an easy gradient down and a brick block surface, leading in the same direction. Carry on down this path.

Path past the New Adelphi Building

  • As the path passes the side of the New Adelphi Building it continues with an easy downwards slope and brick block paving.
  • Turn left at the end of the New Adelphi building.
  • To reach the Newton Building, follow the path round to the right and the main entrance is on your right.

Path in front of the Lady Hale Building and the Clifford Whitworth Library

  • Past the dropped kerb there are bollards, 152cm wide.
  • After that there is a brick block paved path with an easy slope leading down past the Lady Hale Building.
  • The path then levels out as it passes the Clifford Whitworth Library.

Beyond the Clifford Whitworth Library

  • There is a row of bollards and trees that do not impede travel. As you begin to pass the Lady Hale the path continues with an easy downwards slope and brick block paving to the library.
  • Just past the library, the path continues with brick block paving and an easy slope down.
  • Along this path, there is a path leading off to the left, with a medium slope up, leading up to the Chapman Building.
  • To continue through the campus, follow the path straight ahead towards University House.

Path to the University House Main Entrance

  • The brick block paving continues with an easy slope down.
  • In front of the University House there is a moderate ramp with bollards 181cm wide.

Outside Access (University House Main Entrance)

  • The door(s) is / are double.
