Introduction

Turn right and continue for 10m to the Winston Churchill Avenue pedestrian crossing

  • Turn right upon exiting University House and head to the traffic lights that provide assistance when crossing Churchill Road.
  • There is a slight downhill gradient to reach the traffic lights.

Head for 35m across Winston Churchill Avenue

  • There are tactile dropped kerbs on either side of the road and either side of the central island.

  • At the island there are three other sets of lights.
  • Head towards the set directly in front of you ignoring those to your left and right.

Turn left along Richard I Road and continue for 135m until you reach White Swan Road

  • The surface of the pavement is uneven brick block paving with the occasional manhole cover.
  • After 30m there is a long dropped kerb next to a loading bay along the road.
  • There is a lamp post in the road with a space of 125cm to the left of it.
  • There is then an exit to the subway in the middle of the pavement which provides two routes to continue to White Swan Road.
  • The one to the left is 160m wide and to the right the width of the pavement is 190cm.
  • After going around the subway entrance the pavement turns right.
  • Continue along it to reach White Swan Road.

Head for 5m across White Swan Road

  • There are dropped kerbs on either side of the road.
  • The paving on either side of the road is brick block paving.
  • The surface of the road is tarmac.
  • There is a slight uphill gradient as you cross the road.

Head for 87m along Anglesea Road until you reach the Park Road crossing

  • The surface of the pavement is slightly uneven block paving with the occasional manhole cover.
  • Continue past this to the next set of traffic lights across Anglesea Road.
  • Cross the Park Road crossing at the traffic light controlled crossing.
  • This crossing has dropped kerbs and tactile paving on both sides with a central island with dropped kerbs and tactile paving on both sides.
  • The road has a tarmac surface at this crossing and the central island has a brick block surface.
  • After crossing proceed 5m down Park Road and cross Park Road on the right.
  • This crossing is a traffic light controlled crossing with tactile paving and dropped kerbs on both sides.
  • After crossing Park Road turn left and walk along Park Road.

Head for 210m along Park Road until you reach Burnaby Road

  • Head along Park Road.
  • There is a slight uphill gradient leading to the main level of the pavement.
  • The surface of the pavement is block paving with the occasional manhole cover.
  • There is a section of tactile paving for crossing Park Road which you need to head across.
  • There is a slight gradient towards Park Road.
  • There is a section of tactile paving for crossing Park Road which you will need to head across.
  • After this turn right at the first opportunity.

Turn right and head for 40m along Burnaby Street and cross the Anglesea Rear Car Park entrance road

  • Head over the tactile paving at the traffic lights.
  • The surface of the road is uneven block paving.
  • There is tree planted on the pavement leaving a 120cm gap around it.
  • There is a slight gradient heading downwards towards the road.
  • The service road is cobbled and uneven with a dropped kerb off Burnaby Street.

Continue for 55m along Burnaby Street

  • The surface of the pavement is uneven block paving.
  • There is a slight gradient heading towards Banbury Road.
  • There are a series of trees planted along the pavement.
  • The width of the pavement unaffected by the trees is 90cm at the first tree, 131cm at the second, 110cm at the third and 142cm at the fourth tree.
  • There is the exit road to the Anglesea Rear Car Park located at the end of Burnaby Street which is cobbled with the occasional manhole cover and a dropped kerb leading to the road.

Turn left and continue for 30m to reach Portland Street

  • On the other side of the service road there are bollards with a width of 165cm between them that you will need to head through.
  • Turn left there and head down an easy gradient to reach Portland Street.
  • You will encounter another set of bollards with a width of 147cm.
  • The surface of the paving is block paving with the occasional manhole cover.
  • Once you reach Portland Street there will be a crossing located to your right that you will need to use.

Head for 5m across Portland Street

  • There are tactile dropped kerbs on either side of the street.
  • The road is tarmac and has a slight downhill gradient when crossing the road.

Continue for 50m across Richmond Place to the Richmond Building's Main Entrance

  • The Richmond Building will be located directly in front of you.
  • Head straight ahead until you reach the building and then turn right until you reach the main entrance.
  • The surface of Richmond Place is made up of brick block paved and cobbled surfaces.
