Discovery trail

  • Over 1km well laid out paths and signage all along the route, the path is for general walks whether individual or in groups. It starts and ends in the same area with interesting sculptures and climbing frames along the way. Towards the end is an impressive view of the lake.
  • Near the trail is a path used for orienteering which has a watch tower and a stone circle this is on an upwards steep slope so might now be very accessible for all.

Paddle beach

  • Small beach area with sand on the site is generally for kids but adults can use this area. There is clear signage as you enter the area which has rules about keeping in the shallow end of the waters, space to sit and a nice view of the lake.

Group Shelters

  • Used to house children's/visitor's belongings whilst out on the outdoor activities, also used as briefing rooms for school groups. A mix of stepped and ramped access into the huts, there is also a newly built play area next to the shelters.
