Introduction

  • Services / facilities within the building include the subject specialist library for the Department of History and Philosophy of Science in the University of Cambridge.
  • The reception is located on the second floor of the library.
  • The Whipple Library is located in the Heycock Wing.
    The main entrance to the library is located off the main staircase of the Old Physical Chemistry Building on the first floor.
    The accessible entrance is located on the first floor of the Whipple Museum of the History of Science.
    The Storey's Gate entrance off Pembroke Street provides stepped access directly into the library. This entrance also serves as the out-of-hours entrance when the main entrance via the Department of History and Philosophy of Science (Old Physical Chemistry) cannot be used.
