Access To (Elephant Habitat - Lily Pond Car Park)

The Elephant Habitat is located to the south of the park, opposite the Lily Pond car park. The Elephant House is located to the left after crossing the zebra crossing from the Lily Pond Car park, the first large building on the right. The sheltered viewing area is located to the right after crossing the zebra crossing from the Lily Pond car park. The sheltered viewing area is approximately 75m from the Lily Pond car park.
The distance from Lily Pond car park is 200m.
The most accessible route has a very easy slope.

This entrance is located up on the first floor of the building.
The entrance area is not clearly signed.
There is not a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
There is step-free access via slope at the entrance.
The slope has a steep gradient.
The ramp is over 150cm wide with no handrails.
There are double manual doors at this entrance.
The doors are permanently held open.
The width of the opening is 108cm.
There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.
The doors have a high visual contrast.
