Getting Help and Assistance
- There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
- There is a/are steward(s) trained in British Sign Language.
- The alternative formats documents can be provided in include; Braille on request, large print on request, different languages on request and audio on request.
- There is not an assistance dog toilet or toileting area at the stadium/near by.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- There are not mobility aids available.
- There are 2 stewards trained in BSL that are available on matchdays.
- There is a Changing Places facility available in the stadium, located in the South West corner between the Rookery Stand and Graham Taylor Stand - Lower Tier.
Supporters who are not seated in those areas who wish to use the facility should speak to one of the matchday disabled liaison officers. - Watford FC launched a set of Hidden Disability Cards during the 2019/20 season.
The new addition is a non-mandatory card scheme, which will allow all supporters with a hidden disability to order a card containing messages relating to their particular needs, which can be given to any member of staff to enable supporters to access all of the disabled facilities.
The scheme is something that a number of Premier League clubs have introduced and details will be shared with other clubs ahead of all away fixtures, so that they can also be used while following the Hornets up and down the country.
Supporters wishing to apply for a card should email their name, Fan ID and details of which card or cards they would like, to [email protected] (opens in your mail app).
The club may ask for supporters to send proof of eligibility in some cases.

By Road
View
- Vicarage Road Stadium is located in a built up residential area in the south-west of Watford.
From the North
Join the M25 and follow until Junction 20. Exit and follow signs for Hempstead Road, follow Hempstead Road into central Watford. Follow the large roundabout system at the end of Hempstead Road and exit towards Rickmansworth A412. Follow this road for 1/4 mile and turn left at the end of the underpass. Go through two traffic lights and turn left into ‘The Hornets’ at the East end of Vicarage Road.
From the South
Join the M25 and follow until Junction 18. Exit via the slip road, which goes up to a bridge going across the motorway, then turn left towards Rickmansworth. Head down into Rickmansworth until you arrive at a large roundabout near Rickmansworth BR station. Turn left here along the A412 towards Watford. Follow signs into Croxley Green. Continue straight over at the two roundabouts past Croxley, then take the fifth exit onto Harwood Road. Continue down, heading straight over the traffic lights until you come to the end of the road. At the end turn left and you will now be on Vicarage Road, continue for a few hundred metres and you will see the ground on your right hand side.
Please note that Vicarage Road is closed to traffic on matchdays from 1pm onwards. - There are a total of 25 Blue Badge parking bays for wheelchair users.
The Blue Badge parking bays are located on Stadium Way and Occupation Road, both are accessed via Cardiff Road.
There are also parking spaces available for ambulant disabled supporters in the Lower Hospital Car Park, which can be accessed via Thomas Sawyer Way.
There is a buggy service available that transports supporters to the accessible entrance of their choice. The buggy is also available to make the return journey to the car park after the game.
Maps showing access routes for each car park can be provided on request.

By Bus
View
- There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the stadium.
- A number of buses (10, 320, 324 and W1) run between Watford Junction Station and the stadium. Frequent services are run by Arriva and Red Rose Travel and take around 10 minutes.
All buses are low floor accessible (this means they can be lowered to pavement level when the bus stops and the door opens) and supporters should alight at the Watford General Hospital, which is situated next door to the stadium.
2 Hours before kick-off the bus stops are not available due to the Vicarage Road traffic exclusion zone. Supporters should alight at the Whippendell Road bus stops during this time.

By Train

- The nearest Railway Station is Watford High Street.
- The railway stations close to the stadium are Watford High Street (0.6 miles, 12 mins walk) and Watford Junction (1.1 miles, 25 mins walk).
Watford High Street Station has a single island platform which can be accessed by stairs only, there is no ramp or step-free access available.
Watford Junction Station has the most accessible facilities. The station is on the West Coast Mainline and fast trains come from London Euston. Services are run by London Midland and Virgin Trains.
