- Assistance dogs are welcome in the hospital and the Outpatient areas.
- However, assistance dogs are not allowed into direct multi-patient clinical areas, such as wards, due to Infection Control and also other reasons.
- Staff are usually asked to accommodate a side room or visiting area for patients that require an assistance dog or people visiting with an assistance dog.

- Mobility aids available within the hospital include bariatric beds and wheelchairs, manual hoists, hoist slings, tri wheel walkers, walking sticks, walking frames, crutches and commodes which are all available on request.
