This is a manual sit-to-stand transfer aid and it offers ergonomic positioning from a seated to a standing position.

Outdoor Seating Areas
View
- The kitchen has a bi-fold door leading out to a level access wooden terrace.
The lower part of the garden is accessed via a gate and 4 steps.
The steps do not have handrails. - The surface of the outdoor seating area includes a hard surface which is even.
- Facilities on the terrace/decking area include; a seat without armrests.
- Photographs 2 to 6 show access out to the terrace and garden.
- The kitchen has a bi-fold door leading out to a level access wooden terrace.

By Air

- The nearest airports to London are London City Airport, London Gatwick and London Heathrow.
London City Airport is connected to the centre by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Bank or Tower Gateway with interchanges to the rail and underground network at Canning Town and Stratford.
From Gatwick Airport there are fast trains connecting to London Bridge Station.

By Road

- AbleStay is situated in Worcester Park which is located in South West London.
Donnington Road can be accessed from Central Road (A2043) which links the A3 to the north and west and the A24 to the south and east. These are the two main roads around Worcester Park.

By Bus

- There is not a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.

Entrance (Front Door)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building, in the centre.
- There is step-free access at this entrance, via ramp/slope.
- The ramp has a width between 75cm and 150cm and a slight gradient .
- The ramp does not have handrails.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 75cm.
Lounge/Living Area
- There is a lounge/living area.
- The day room/lounge area is approximately 14m from the accessible entrance.
- There is level access into the lounge/living area.
- There is not a/are not door(s) into the lounge/living area.
- The type of flooring is vinyl/laminate.
- There is a space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre.
- There are sofas and also a mixture of single seats with and without armrests.
- No chairs are permanently fixed.
- No tables are permanently fixed.
- The distance between the floor and the lowest table is 46cm.
- There is not a red flashing fire alarm beacon within the room.
- There is a television.
- Subtitles are available.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
Kitchen
- There are no doors at this entrance.
- There is ample room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre within the kitchen.
- Facilities/features in the kitchen areas include; low level worktops/counters with knee recess, low level sinks with knee recess, fridge freezers, ovens, hobs with knee recess, dishwashers, microwaves, kettles and toasters.
- The area has a non-slip floor.
- The colour contrast between the floor and walls in the kitchen areas is good.
- There are overhead and under counter cupboards/units available for worktops/counters.
- The oven and fridge/freezer door handles have poor colour contrast.
- The sink tap types are twist/turn.
- The kitchen has chairs without armrests and benches.
- The height of the tables range between 74cm and 74cm.
- The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups and easy grip cutlery.
- The oven has a slide and hide door.
There are also retractable shelves under both the oven and the microwave (shown in photograph 3).
The height of the shelves (underside) is 75cm.
The counter where the sink and hob are located is height adjustable.
A slightly reclining dining chair is available along with a height adjustable stool.
Accessible Bedroom (Large Accessible Bedroom 1)
- Guests do not need to open a door between the entrance and the accessible bedroom(s).
- There is step-free level access to the accessible bedroom surveyed.

Getting Into The Bedroom
View
- The width of the door is 90cm.
- The colour contrast between the external door and wall is poor. The colour contrast between the internal door and wall is poor.
- The door is a 'soft close' manual sliding door.
It does not have a lock.
There is an interconnecting manual door between Accessible Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2.
The width of this door opening is 64cm.
The door is easy to open.

Inside The Bedroom

- The bed type is single.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room surveyed has a chair with armrests.
- The room has: a height adjustable bed, a gap under the bed at the recommended height for a mobile hoist (20cm), room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm), plug sockets next to the bed and ceiling track hoist.
- There is a pull cord emergency alarm but it was tied up at the time of the survey.
- The room has hard flooring.
- The colour contrast between the room walls and floor is good.

- The ensuite has a manual door which opens outwards.
- The ensuite does have an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm.
- The ensuite has hard flooring.
- There is a pull cord emergency alarm at a recommended height (within 10cm from floor).
- There are lateral transfer spaces on both sides of the seat.
- The height of the toilet seat above floor level is 51cm.
- There is a push button flush in the centre of the cistern.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- The toilet has a dropdown rail on both sides of the seat.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin.
- The height of the wash basin is 80cm.

- The ensuite has: a height adjustable bath and a wheel-in shower.

- The bed type is single or double.
- Seating in the room includes: a stool and a padded chair without armrests.
- The room has: a height adjustable bed and a gap under the bed at the recommended height for a mobile hoist (20cm).
- The room has hard flooring.
- There are 2 fully adjustable profiling beds which tilt up and down and side to side.
The beds also have built in retractable side rails.
There is a dressing table.
The height of the surface of the dressing table is 77cm and the height of the underside is 59cm.
The height of the clothes hanging rail is 150cm.
Standard Bedroom (Bedroom 3)
- This bedroom is located off the lounge/living area.
- The width of the door is 75cm.
- The colour contrast between the internal bedroom door and wall is fair.
- The colour contrast between the bedroom walls and floor is good.
- The bed type is single.
- Seating in the room includes: a chair without armrests.
- The room has hard flooring.
- The height of the clothes hanging rail is 150cm.
Bathroom
- The bathroom door is manual and opens by sliding.
- The bathroom does have an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm.
- The bathroom has hard flooring.
- The bathroom has a non-slip floor.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat as you look at it.
- There is a push button flush in the centre of the cistern.
- The toilet seat is not at a height of 48cm from the floor.
- The height of the toilet roll holder is 80cm.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin.
- The height of the wash basin is 92cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The ensuite has: a bath and a wheel-in shower.
- The bath is at a height of 60cm.
- The bath tap type is lever.
- There is a fixed overhead shower head and a handheld shower head.
- The following have a good colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal door and the floor.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat.
