    • Guests with a red ride access pass are required to ride with a carer over the age of 14 years.
    • This ride has separate access for Standard Passes, Ride Access Passes and Fastrack Passes.

    • This ride includes rigorous motion and / or velocity and is therefore not recommended for guests with back, heart or neck conditions.

    • In the unlikely event of an evacuation, the process may include climbing ladders, walking over narrow balconies and being strapped into a harness. For this reason it is not suitable for all guests.
    • Guests can transfer from their own wheelchair into the ride vehicle. Guests can be supported to do this, but not carried.
    • For safety reasons, due to the speed and motion of this ride guests must be able to keep their head upright without assistance.
    • Due to the speed and motion of this ride guests must be able to brace themselves with their feet and remain sitting up right.
    • Due to the speed and motion of this ride guests must be able to brace themselves with their hands and / or feet and remain sitting upright. Guests also need to be able to exit the ride independently / with assistance from a member of their group, in the unlikely event of an evacuation.
    • Guests who have a plaster cast or brace should seek medical advice before choosing to ride. If guests choose to ride they should check they can meet the rides safety requirements.
    • The ride has strong magnetic fields and is therefore not suitable for guests with implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) or pacemakers.
    • This ride includes flashing lights and smoke/mist/fog effects and as a result may not be suitable for all guests.
    • This attraction has a pre-show experience which involves flashing lights, confined spaces and strong smells. If you wish to skip this part of the attraction, please speak to a member of staff just outside the baggage hold. The pre-show is back in operation after Covid-19.

Ride Access (Standard Passes)

  • Access Point View
    • This ride/attraction access point is signed.
    • There is step-free access at this access point.
    • This access point is an open gateway.
    • The width of the access point opening is 200cm.
  • Queuing System View
    • Access along this queue consists of; steps going up, steps going down, slight slopes going up, slight slopes going down, steep slopes going up and steep slopes going down.
    • The approximate length of this queue is 100m.
    • This queue can be extended during busy periods.
    • There are additional ramps/slopes along the extension(s).
    • Path surfaces in this queuing system are concrete and block paving.
    • The queuing area is open air.
    • The minimum width of the queuing area is 120cm.

  • Pre-Show Rooms View
    • At the end of the queue, there is level access to a 75cm+ opening leading into the pre-show holding area.
      There is a facility where luggage and other loose items can be stored whilst on the ride, located to the left as you enter the holding area.
      The counter is 94cm in height.
      Stored items can be collected on exiting the ride via a second counter of the same height.
      There are low lighting levels as well as background noise in the holding area.
    • There is level access to a set of double, automatic doors with an opening width of 75cm+ leading from the holding area into the pre-show room.
      The pre-show involves strong smells, as well as being in a dark enclosed space with flashing lights and loud background noise.
      This may not be suitable for all guests.
      Following the show, guests exit via a single automatic door with an opening width of 75cm+.
    • During COVID, the pre-show does not take place. Guests simply walk straight through the pre-show rooms and to the loading area.
      Those who wish to skip (e.g. have been on the ride before) or are uncomfortable with what the pre-show involves (e.g. strobe lighting, dark enclosed space, loud background noise, etc) are able to bypass the pre-show rooms via a gate located to the left as you face the pre-show holding area entrance.
      The gate is operated by a member of staff and is 80cm wide.
      The route then follows round to the right before a second 86cm wide door that leads to the ride loading area.
      Luggage and other loose items can be stored whilst riding.
      The storage facility is located on the right immediately prior to the second door.
      The deposit/collection counter is 94cm in height.

    • Access to the platform is via closed single gates.
    • The gate(s) is/are activated remotely by staff.
    • The gate opening width is 72cm.
    • There is also a wider gateway with an opening width of 84cm.
    • Guests have to step down and into the carriage.
    • The carriage is secure and will not move when guests are transferring.
    • Staff are unable to provide assistance when transferring into/onto the ride/attraction.
    • The restraints for this ride/attraction include: lap bars.

Lift (Wicker Man Ride to Shop)

  • A member of staff does not need to be notified for use of the lift.
