About this venue

Perfect for a family stroll while looking at the local flora and fauna, Balloo Wetland Nature Reserve has a range of wildlife and plant life. The wetland reserve has two large ponds, a picnic area, paths and information panels. It provides a home for a wide variety of wetland wildlife including many plant and bird species, butterflies, dragonflies, newts and frogs. The woodland is full of mature native trees and woodland plant life, with a small pond. Species to look out for include oak, speckled wood butterfly, goldfinch and foxglove.
