AccessAble are delighted to announce a landmark partnership with Tesco

Tesco are working with AccessAble to produce Detailed Access Guides for all (2,600 +) Tesco stores across the UK and Ireland.

This means AccessAble are visiting and assessing every store type from large Extras, to local Tesco Express. Petrol filling stations are also included. The first set of Access Guides went live on www.AccessAble.co.uk and the AccessAble App in May 2021. They also feature on the Tesco Store Locator.

More stores will be added every month with the full store portfolio expected to be live by the end of 2021.

We see Access Guides playing a vital role, alongside other accessibility initiatives, including the provision of Changing Places and the Sunflower lanyard. The team at Tesco are passionate and committed to making stores welcoming and inclusive for everyone. We are honoured to work alongside them.

Claire Pickthall, Group Customer Proposition Director from Tesco said,

‘We are extremely proud to work alongside AccessAble, to provide customers with independently assessed accessibility information for all our stores; an ongoing project which is expected to be fully live by the end of 2021. We will keep listening to our customers and colleagues so that we can continue to make the store experience better.’
