Your Accessibility Guide to London's West End is now live!

London’s West End is one of the most visited places on the planet.

For disabled people, and all those with access requirements, visiting somewhere for the first time can be a daunting prospect.

Oxford Circus

We know that 98% of disabled people and carers look for accessibility information before visiting somewhere for the first time and 76% of people have not visited somewhere they wanted too because they couldn't find the information they needed.

Until now there has been no comprehensive source of accessibility information about London’s West End. On the International Day of People With Disabilities 2019 a number of key organisations with responsibility for streets, venues and transport across London’s West End have recognised the 'If I don't know, I don't go' problem and published Detailed Access Guides for the central area.

Regent Street

Partnering with AccessAble, the UK's most trusted and popular source of accessibility information, there are now hundreds of Detailed Access Guides to the area's main streets, tube stations, shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres and much more. Over time more and more places across London’s West End and Central London will be added. Each participating street and venue has also received recommendations to help them improve accessibility going forward.

Bond Street

From 3rd December the first phase of the project will go live, AccessAble is keen to hear feedback on the information provided and what parts of London’s West End people are keen to see covered next. More and more places will be added throughout 2020.

So, if you need to know about accessible toilet facilities, parking, walking distances, door widths, colour contrast, seating, or public transport all the relevant facts, figures, and photographs for London’s West End are now available for free at www.AccessAble.co.uk and on the AccessAble App at the Google Play and App Store. Simply go to the website and search ‘London’s West End’, for more information or to give feedback contact AccessAble at [email protected].
