About this venue

The Barking Campus (Technical Skills Academy) is a purpose-built professional and technical training campus in the heart of Barking Town Centre, which opened in 2012. The Academy is a contemporary training campus, offering spacious and up-to-date facilities and equipment for students aged 16-18.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The Barking campus is located in the centre of Barking about half a mile to the east of the North Circular road. When heading anticlockwise on the north circular (A406), take the A124 exit to Barking. At the roundabout, take the second exit. At the next roundabout, take the third exit towards town centre. At the traffic lights, turn left on to London Road, towards town centre (west). After about 250m, the campus is on your right, and the London Road Multi-Storey Car Park is on your left.
    • Parking in central Barking is limited so the college recommend using public transport to access the facilities. However there is limited free parking in supermarket car parks and pay parking at the London Road multi-storey car park.
  • By Bus View
    • The nearest bus stop is the Barking Town Centre (Stop M) stop on London Road. This stop is within 150m of the campus. The stop is serviced by the 169, 287, 366, 687 and Z2 buses.
  • By Train View
    • Barking Station is approximately 250m from the campus. Barking is regularly serviced by C2C trains, which run between London Fenchurch Street (some London Liverpool Street and Stratford services at weekends) and Shoeburyness (Southend). Overground trains run frequently between Barking and Gospel Oak.
  • By Underground View
    • Barking’s underground station is in zone 4, and sits on the District and Hammersmith & City lines.
