Access Guide
Introduction
- Services / facilities within the grounds include Belfast Met, Public Record Office Northern Ireland , Titanic Belfast , Odyssey, T13 Urban Sports Park , Titanic Dock and Pump House - Café and Visitor Centre , Titanic Walking Tours , Premier Inn, Titanic and Olympic Slipways, Thompson Dry Dock, HMS Caroline, Titanic Film Studios, Samson and Goliath Cranes, Titanic Quarter Station, Titanic Drawing Offices and Northern Ireland Science Park.
Getting Here (Titanic Quarter)
- Heading South on the M3; take Junction 1 to exit towards "Titanic Quarter". Continue along Old Channel Road and then straight onto Queens Road.
Heading West on the A2 / Sydenham Bypass, take the exit marked "Sydenham Road", turn left at the roundabout and continue along Sydenham Road until the junction with Queens Road. Turn right onto Queens Road. Queens Road is the main road running through the Titanic Quarter. - There are several car parks available within the Titanic Quarter, most of which are open air / surface carparks with a tarmacked surface, these include;
Belfast Metropolitan College Public Car Park.
9 Queens Road Parking.
Titanic Car Park.
East Yard Coach Parking.
Titanic Quarter Car Park 3.
2 Queens Quay Parking. - There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
- Buses which stop along the Titanic Quarter include Translink Metro services no. 94, no. 600A and no. 600B, with links from Holywood Exchange to Donegall Square North.
The G2 Glider service provides links between the Donegall Square services and the Titanic Quarter along Queens Road. - The nearest Railway Station is Titanic Quarter.

Parking
- There are public pay display car parks located throughout the Titanic Quarter.
- They are located at the Odyssey, Titanic Belfast, Belfast Met College and at various points along Queens Road.
Titanic Quarter - Titanic Trail
- The following information describes the access along the waterfront, from HMS Caroline to the Titanic Museum slipways.
- The paths include concreted and decked sections with some cobbled paving at the HMS Caroline end. The majority of the area has step-free access.
- The potential hazards in this area include; uneven paving, disused rail tracks, bollards and paving which may be perceived as steps.
- The majority of paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There are slight and steep slopes on the path along the slipways.
- There are bench seats situated along this area for people to rest.
Titanic Quarter - Queens Road
- The following information describes the access along Queens Road.
- The paths include paved and tarmacked sections with some cobbled paving. The area has step-free access.
- The potential hazards in this area include; uneven paving and dropped kerbs.
- There are pedestrian road crossings in this area. Crossings have tactile paving and audible crossing tones.
- The majority of paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There are slight slopes on the path.
Titanic Quarter - Titanic Museum to Belfast Marina
- The following information describes the access between the Titanic Museum and the Belfast Marina.
- The paths include paved, tarmacked, cobbled and decked sections.
- There are pedestrian road crossings in this area. Crossings have tactile paving and audible crossing tones.
- The majority of the area has step-free access.
- The potential hazards in this area include; bollards, uneven paving, raised kerbs, mooring bollards and paving which may be perceived as steps.
- The majority of paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There are slight and steep slopes along the path.
Level Change (Titanic and Olympic Slipways)
- There is a ramp/slope to access this area/service.
- The ramp/slope is located at either end of the stepped level change.
- The ramp/slope gradient is slight.
- The ramp/slope is permanent.
- There is a level landing at the top of the ramp/slope.
- The ramp does have handrails.
- The handrails are on the left going up.
- There is a/are step(s) to access this area/service.
- The step(s) is/are located in between the two ramps.
- There is/are 6 step(s) to the area/service.
- There is not tactile paving at the top and bottom of the steps.
- The step(s) is/are not clearly marked.
- The step(s) is/are medium height (11cm - 17cm).
- There is a/are handrail(s) at the step(s).
- The handrail(s) is/are on both sides.
- The ramp/slope does bypass the step(s).

- There are 96cm high bollards at the bottom of the steps. The width between the bollards is 112cm.
- The bollards have a yellow identification band around the top.
