Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes. .
  • Deane Road Main Building has two entrances. There is an accessible double automatic door at the rear of the building and a single automatic entrance with an alternative revolving door at the front main entrance.
  • The entrances are signed with the name of the building.
  • The accessible entrance provides step-free level access to the the rear of the entrance foyer on the ground floor.
  • The front accessible entrance has step-free access via a slight slope.

Getting Around

    • There are 8 toilets with adaptations.

  • There is a lowered section at the desk.
  • The height of the lowered section is 75cm.

Lift - Right Hand Corrdor

  • The lift surveyed is located on the corridor to the right of the main entrance.

  • The ground floor, and floors 1, 2, and 3 are accessed by this lift.
  • The lift door has a medium visual contrast.
  • The lift has a level manoeuvring space in front of it for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).

  • The external lift control buttons have a high visual contrast.
  • All of the external lift controls are at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.

Changing Places (Second Floor)
