Outside Access (Reserve Entrance - Gamlingay Road)

    • Alternative access, leading to the southern end of the wood, is via the permissive path from Long Lane (next to Gamlingay parish allotments).
    • This alternative route travels through fields following natural and uneven surfaces which may be muddy during wet weather. .

Reserve and Pathways

  • There is an information point located straight ahead from the reserve entrance.
  • There are easy, moderate and steep slopes at various points along the trails.
  • The surface of the pathways along the trails are compacted earth, loose chippings and grass.
  • There is a 3km trail named Rippengals Walk in the reserve.
  • The pathways are uneven in places and very muddy during poor weather.
  • Bench seating is located along the trail.
  • There is a single gate, that opens towards you, is heavy and 120cm wide to access Sugley Wood.
