Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.

- To gain access without a card, please visit Security in Anselm.
- There is step-free access via slight slopes to the main entrance from the Green Car Park.
There is also step-free access via slight slope if approaching the main entrance from Longport A257.
There are uneven surfaces and bollards on the approach from each direction. - Governor's House has 2 entrances, one located at the front of the building as you face it and one off Longport A257 at the rear of the building.
Both entrances give access to the ground floor of the building.
The entrance at the front of the building has a single automatic door and steep ramped access.
The entrance off Longport A257 has two sets of single manual doors and stepped access. - The accessible entrance is signed as Governor's House, and the alternative stepped entrance off Longport A257 has no signage.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access via lift on all floors of the building, however the majority of the building has narrow walkways.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are carpeted with a good colour contrast.
- There are no resting areas in the main circulation areas.
- A floor map is available on the ground floor at the main entrance.
There is very limited wayfinding signage throughout the building. - There are manual doors and doors permanently held open along the main circulation areas on both the ground and first floor.
