Getting Inside
- The approach to the building (rear entrance) from the car park is step-free and level.
- Meadow Road, on which the building is located, has a slight gradient. There are slight slopes on all approaches to the building if you arrive by public transport or on foot.
- Lucy Fildes Building has three entrances. The rear entrance provides step-free level access to the ground floor, via a single automatic door.
The front entrance provides stepped access to the ground floor, via 2/3 steps. There are double manual doors (with one leaf locked) at this entrance.
The basement entrance provides step-free access (via a steep ramp) to the basement floor. There are two sets of single manual doors at this entrance. - The rear entrance has no signage.

Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors via lift.
- Floor surfaces along circulation routes consist of low pile carpet, with some shiny laminate flooring on the ground floor.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas of the building with a mixture of seating.
- Overhead and wall-mounted wayfinding signage, in addition to floor plan signage, is provided throughout the building on all floors.
- There are a mixture of automatic, double manual and single manual doors along circulation corridors throughout the building. There are also single manual doors to enter and exit the rear stairwell on all floors.

- There are 2 toilets with adaptations.
- Toilets with adaptations are located on the ground floor, immediately to the left as you enter the building through the rear entrance, and on the second floor, to the left and then on the right as you exit the lift.

- The shared step-free toilet facilities are located on the ground floor, straight ahead and on the left as you enter the building through the rear entrance; on the second floor, straight ahead as you exit the lift, and also to the left and then on the right as you exit the lift; and on the third floor, to the left and then on the right as you exit the lift.
