Overview

  • About View
    • Known as the "Cathedral of the Canals," this is a towering, Grade I listed iron structure that vertically links the River Weaver and the Trent & Mersey Canal.
    • Facilities available in the venue include: a visitor centre, a museum, exhibitions spaces, outdoor play areas, boat tours and gift and coffee shop. The actual boat lift and caisson gates were closed at the time of survey in 2026.
