Animal Enclosures (YooHoo Children's Zoo)

  • YooHoo Children's Zoo is located in the Chessington Zoo area of the theme park.
  • Entrance / Opening View
    • There is a single, manual gate with an opening width of 75cm+, which is easy to open for access to this enclosure.
    • The entrance/opening is clearly signed.
    • The entrance/opening does/do contrast visually with its immediate surroundings.
    • There is not a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at this entrance/opening.
    • There is ramped/sloped access at this entrance/opening.
    • The entrance gate opens towards you and is 162cm wide (photograph 2).
      There is a second gate into the enclosure area which is 140cm wide and opens away from you (photograph 5).
    • There is a slight slope over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
    • The slope has a level landing.
  • Animal Enclosure View
    • There is level access throughout this area.
    • Clear directional signage is not provided in this area.
    • During busy periods this area can become congested.
    • The flooring in the enclosure is concrete or tarmac.
    • Some flooring is uneven.
    • This area does play background music/sound.

      Guests hands have to be inserted into the top of the hand dryers which are 73cm high.

      The second gate to exit opens away from you and is 162cm wide (photograph 21).
