There is step-free access to The Slab. From The Slab, there is step-free access along the corridor to the PM Detectives Room. This has a glass viewing window which starts from the floor but there is a metal bar which is 110cm from the floor. There is step-free access to the Brendan Bracken Room. This has a glass viewing window which starts from the floor but there is a metal bar which is 110cm from the floor. There are also similar viewing windows into the rooms of Major Desmond Morton, Commander Thompson, and Deputy Security of War Cabinet Norman Brook. There are also viewing windows into Clementine Churchills Room where the viewing window starts from the floor. Along the same corridor is the Prime Minister's dining room. This has a glass viewing window which starts from the floor. At the rear of the corridor is the Chief of Staff's conference room. The viewing window begins from floor level and there is a bench seating and chairs with armrests, there is a video played with background music. There is then a long corridor with permanently held open doors with an opening width of 70cm. If the doors are too narrow they can be bypassed by using an alternative route, please speak to a member staff for more information. You will next come to The Kitchen which has a viewing window starting from the floor. There is a corridor leading to Multimedia Guide Point 9, known as 'Expanding The Site'. The first exhibit within Multimedia Guide Point 9 is the Plant Room. The view into the Plant Room is via a permanently held open door. The Plant Room is also a conference and events space. The door will be closed when there is an event taking place. Access to the Plant Room involves overcoming a 4cm step. The café is located at the end of Multimedia Guide Point 9.
