  • BY TRAIN
  • St Michael le Belfrey Church is 0.5 miles from York Railway Station, Station Road, York, YO24 1AB.

  • Several bus services make stops in the city centre, with the nearest stops to the church located 240m away at the Exhibition Square Interchange, St Leonard's Place, YO1 7HF.
  • Easy-access kerbs are provided at Exhibition Square, as well as at most bus stops in York city centre and along high-frequency bus routes.
  • All local buses with a capacity of 22 or more passengers are low floor and wheelchair accessible, as is now required by law.
  • The driver can lower the bus or extend the wheelchair ramp to make it easier to board.

  • York Wheels is a voluntary organisation which provides a transport service for people who cannot easily access public transport.
  • To use the service, you must be over 60, disabled or in receipt of benefits.
  • York Wheels provide a pre-booked car service operating between 08:00 and 16:30 on weekdays.

  • Unfortunately there is no on-site parking available, however Blue Badge parking locations are within easy reach. The nearest Blue Badge parking locations are as follows:
  • CITY CENTRE CAR PARKS
  • Most council-run car parks have designated disabled bays, situated for easy access.
  • Blue Badge holders can park in any of York's council-run car parks free of charge (within opening hours), in either a designated or standard bay.
  • The nearest council-run car park to St Michael le Belfrey Church is 0.3 miles away at Bootham Row, Bootham Row, YO30 7BP.
  • Blue Badge holders can park in any bay in Bootham Row car park, free of charge, for as long as they want.
  • There are 13 dedicated disabled bays which are available for Blue Badge holders only.

  • DESIGNATED BLUE BADGE BAYS
  • The nearest designated bays are located 0.2 miles away, adjacent to York Explore Library at Library Square, Museum Street, YO1 7DS.
  • ON-STREET PAY AND DISPLAY BAYS
  • The nearest on-street 'pay and display' bays are located 0.5 miles away at Piccadilly, YO1 9NX.

  • York has one of the largest footstreet zones in Europe. Vehicle access is restricted within the pedestrian footstreet zone from 10:30 until 17:00, 7 days a week. During these hours, Blue Badge holders are still able to park on the following footstreets:

  • If necessary, and if no other suitable parking place is available, Blue Badge holders can park on single or double yellow lines for a maximum of 3 hours.
