Access Guide
Routes and Getting to the Slopes
- The easiest access to the slopes is through the village center.
- The small ski area has 21km of slopes which are perfect for learning and improving ski skills on, and the majority of the runs loop back to the village centre.
- The resort also has 320km of ski trails for cross country and touring.
- The nearest lifts to the hotel are Bitihorn Express, Barneheisen, Ola-Expressen, and Kjelkeheisen.
- The Bitihorn Express chair lift and Kjelkeheisen drag lift give access to Red (advanced) runs, and other lifts in the ski area.
- The Barneheisen drag lift gives access to the central Green (beginner and practice) slopes in the ski area.
- The Ola-Expressen chairlift gives access to the central Green (beginner and practice) slopes in the ski area, including the Fun Park and the Ski Cross, and the ski trails, and can be used to access other lifts in the ski area.
- After exiting the hotel, head through the car park towards the village centre.
- Walk to the crossing point and enter the car parking area in front of the Velkomstsenter.
- Enter the automatic door signed Lodge 900.
- Take the lift to floor 3 and exit the building via the manual door.
- Follow the path around the side of the building and turn left to continue along the rear of the building past the lift pass office.
- Access to the slopes and the Ola-Expressen and Bitihorn Express chair lifts, and the Barneheisen drag lift is ahead via a steep slope.
- Alternative access to the slopes is via a very steep slope nearer to the hotel.
- There is a free bus service linking Beitostølen to the nearby ski area of Raudalen where advanced skiers can find the additional Red runs and the resort's Black (expert) runs.
- The free bus service operates from outside the hotel and runs 3 times a day.
- When the bus service is not busy, it may be possible for skiers with adaptive equipment to be carried, however this area of the resort does not have any ski patrols and is only suitable for advanced skiers due to the nature of the runs and drag lift.
