Access to Beitostølen Aktiv and Skiskole - Beito Active Ski and Board School
- The walking time the Beitostølen Aktiv and Skiskole is approximately 5 minutes
- The most accessible route is via a slight slope.
- This access route involves crossing a road.
- The Beitostølen Aktiv and Skiskole office is located in the Velkomstsenter, at the rear of the building as you enter.
Entrance (Velkomstsenter Entrance - Tourist Information Centre)
- This entrance is located at the front of the Velkomstsenter, on the left hand side of the main building in the centre of the village.
- The entrance area is clearly signed.
- There is not a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There are double automatic doors.
- The doors open by sliding.
- The width of the opening is 103cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
Beitostølen Aktiv and Skiskole
- The ski and board school office is located at the rear of the Velkomstsenter
- The office door is open during business hours and members of staff are available to assist.
- The instructors speak multiple languages.
- The school has an arrangement with Beitostølen Health Sports Centre for access to adaptive equipment, and the school can provide sit-ski instruction.
- Adaptive equipment must be requested on booking your trip, as the Health Sports Centre is a rehabilitation service for Norwegians and the availability of equipment cannot be guaranteed.

- All instruction is focused on providing independence and training in techniques for the skier and their families or companions.
- Adaptive instruction is tailored to the needs of the skier.
- Instruction is on how to use the adaptive equipment independently. For families and companions, instruction is on how to ski or board alongside them.
- For those who are less independent, instruction is available for both the Crystal guest and family member or companion to learn to use the adaptive equipment while guided.
Ski and Board School Meeting Point
- The meeting point for ski school lessons is at the bottom of the Ola-Expressen chairlift.
- Access to the meeting points is via the Information Centre.
- After exiting the hotel, head through the car park towards the village centre.
- Walk to the crossing point and enter the car parking area in front of the Velkomstsenter.
- Enter the automatic door signed Lodge 900.
- Take the lift to floor 3 and exit the building via the manual door.
- Follow the path around the side of the building and turn left to continue along the rear of the building past the lift pass office.
- Access to the slopes and the meeting point is ahead via a steep slope.
- Alternative access to the slopes is via a very steep slope nearer to the hotel.
- The meeting points are clearly signed using different colours.
- Children's lessons, or Snow Mouse, are grey.
- Level 1 is green.
- Level 2 is blue.
- Level 3 is red.
- Level 4, for Private Lessons, is black.
