Accommodation Overview

About View
- Buzzard Lodge is a two-bedroom lodge, all on one level, located next to the lake.
- There is step-free level access to all bedrooms.
- Dogs are welcomed at this venue.

- The venue has its own car park.

Getting In and Around View
- There is step-free level access at the most accessible entrance.
- There is step-free level access throughout.
- The following areas have stepped access: the boat mooring, but there is an alternative ramped access route.
- Access throughout may include manual doors.
- The following facilities are available: a seat/chair, an electric scooter, bed raisers, bath steps, raised toilet seats, a water bowl for assistance dogs, shower chairs and mobility scooter charging facilities.
- Staff receive the following training: Disability Awareness.

The kitchen is located on the left hand side, after entering.
There is step-free level access into the kitchen.
There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
The kitchen has overhead cupboards and under counter cupboards.
The work surface is 90cm from the floor.
The hob is 90cm from the floor.
The oven is at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
The sink is 90cm from the floor.
The sink has a lever mixer tap.
Facilities within the kitchen include a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster.
The following machines are at a suitable height for a wheelchair user: washing machine and dishwasher.
Seating available in the kitchen includes: chairs without armrests.
Furniture available in the kitchen includes: tables.

The bedroom surveyed is located to the side of lounge.
The most accessible route to the bedroom has step-free level access.
There is step-free level access into the bedroom.
The door opens inwards.
The width of the door opening is 80cm.
The bedroom has a super king bed which can be split into two singles.
The top of the mattress is 62cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 14cm from the floor.
The following is available in this bedroom: a chair without armrests, bedside plug sockets and a desk.

Bedroom Access View
- The bedroom surveyed is located to the far left hand side of the lodge.
- The most accessible route to the bedroom has step-free level access.
- There is step-free level access into the bedroom.
- The door opens inwards.
- The width of the door opening is 80cm.
Bedroom Features View
- The bedroom has a double bed.
- The top of the mattress is 68cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 10cm from the floor.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a manoeuvring space next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The following is available in this bedroom: a chair without armrests, bedside plug sockets and a desk.
Ensuite Access View
- There is step-free level access into the ensuite.
- The ensuite door opens outwards.
- The width of the door opening is 74cm.
Ensuite Dimensions and Features View
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right as you face the toilet, however it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 110cm (from the side of the toilet pan).
- There is a wall mounted toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a soap dispenser and a hand towel available.
- The wash basin has a lever mixer tap.
- Additional features include: a mirror, a coat hook and a shelf.
- The ensuite has a pedal bin.
- The ensuite has a shower cubicle.
- The shower has an adjustable shower head which can be detached.
- The shower controls are twist turn mixer.
- There is a step into the shower cubicle.

The seating area is located outside the lounge area.
The seating area is uncovered.
The most accessible route to the seating area has step-free level access.
There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: alternative access to the boat mooring, on the left hand side.
The following areas have stepped access: direct access to the boat mooring.
There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
Seating available in this area includes: chairs with armrests.

There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.
