By Road
View
- The Department of Sociology and Philosophy is located on Old Elvet Road via the A690, off the A177 Roundabout. Following the Whinney Hill Road it will follow onto Old Elvet Road.
- Parking is located on Old Elvet Street. Paying for parking is required for Pay and Display. Payment machines are located on the road. Pay By Phone is an option of payment (Location 804601 paybyphone app).

By Bus

- There is not a bus stop within 150 metres of the building.
- Bus routes 51A and X21, which run between Durham and Newcastle Upon Tyne, stop on North Road (Stand G), then it is 0.7 mile walk to Old Elvet Road.
