Getting To The Hospital (Royal Blackburn Hospital)

By Road
View
- The Royal Blackburn Hospital is located on Haslingden Road.
Use the postcode BB2 3HH if using a sat-nav device.
From Blackburn Bus Station continue along Salford, heading away from the town centre.
When passing the traffic lights veer right and head along Cicely Lane until you reach the T-junction (Higher Audley Street/A6078).
Turn right onto Higher Audley Street/A6078 and continue until the next junction.
Turn left onto Bennington Street where the Hospital is signposted.
Follow Bennington Street until the T junction for Haslingden Road.
Turn left onto Haslingden Road and the Hospital is located on the left. - A designated disabled parking area is available at the main hospital reception, next to Visitor Car Park O.
The main visitors car park is Car Park N, opposite the main hospital entrance. Limited places are also available at Car Park J.
Entry to Car Park J for external visitors can only be accessed by credit or debit card. On entry, insert a credit or debit card into the barrier reader. The card will be read, the entry date and time recorded, the card will then be returned. When the card has been removed the entry barrier will be raised to allow access.
On exit, please insert the same card into the barrier reader. The card will be read, the exit date and time recorded, and the cost calculated and receipt produced. When the card has been removed the barrier will be raised to exit.
Please note - Car Park J cannot be accessed via the M65.

The Hospital Trust has made a commitment to provide free transport services between Burnley General Hospital and the Royal Blackburn Hospital for patients and visitors.
The service is now operational, running from 06:15 to 21:30 (the last bus) Monday to Friday. A reduced service will operate on weekends and bank holidays. - There is not an onsite bus stop.

Getting Help and Assistance
- There are volunteers available for help and assistance at the hospital.
- Volunteers can be found at the Customer Relations desk at the main hospital reception.
- Documents are available in an alternative format and can be provided to include: Braille on request, large print on request and different languages.
- There is not an assistance dog toilet or toileting area on the hospital site.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- BSL interpreters can be provided on request.
