    • This is one of two nearly identical, accessible safari tent lodges - Flora and Fauna, on a small working farm.
    • There are 3 bedrooms in total.
    • There is step-free level access to some of the bedrooms.
    • There is 1 bedroom with adaptations.
    • None of the bedrooms with adaptations have adjoining rooms.
    • There is a shared bathroom with a wheel-in shower.
    • Dogs are welcomed at this venue.

Parking

Entrance

  • This entrance is located to the front of the lodge.
  • There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
  • The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide with a handrail on the right going up.
  • The door into the safari tent is canvas and zips up on both sides.
  • There is a single manual door at this entrance.
  • The width of the opening is 90cm.

Kitchen (with dining area)

  • The kitchen is located to your right as you enter the lodge.
  • There is step-free level access into the kitchen.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • The kitchen has a height adjustable work surface, a height adjustable sink, a height adjustable hob, overhead cupboards and under counter cupboards.
  • The oven is at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • The sink has a lever mixer tap.
  • Facilities within the kitchen include a fridge, a kettle and a toaster.
  • Seating available in the kitchen includes: chairs without armrests.
  • Furniture available in the kitchen includes: tables.

Lounge

  • The lounge is located to your left as you enter the lodge.
  • There is step-free level access into the lounge.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • Seating available in the lounge includes: sofas.
  • Furniture available in the lounge includes: coffee tables.
  • There is a TV with subtitles.

Bathroom with Adaptations (Left Hand Transfer)

    • The bathroom surveyed is located to the rear of the lodge.
    • The most accessible route to the bathroom has step-free level access.
    • There is step-free level access into the bathroom.
    • The door opens by sliding.
    • The width of the door opening is 85cm.
    • The door has a twist lock.

    • There is a lateral transfer space to the left as you face the toilet.
    • The lateral transfer space is 145cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).

Standard Bedroom (Cabin Bed)

  • The most accessible route to the bedroom has steps.
  • There is stepped access into the bedroom.
  • There are 3 steps which are unmarked with no handrails.
  • The door opens outwards.
  • The bedroom has a double bed.
  • This is a small child's room with only a double mattress.

Bedroom with Adaptations (Kingsize or Twin)

    • The bedroom surveyed is located to the right as you enter the lodge, beyond the kitchen.
    • The most accessible route to the bedroom has step-free level access.
    • There is step-free level access into the bedroom.
    • The door opens by sliding.
    • The width of the door opening is 85cm.

    • The bedroom has a super king bed which can be split into two singles.
    • The top of the mattress is 64cm from the floor.
    • The space under the bed is 3cm from the floor.
    • There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
    • The following is available in this bedroom: bedside plug sockets.
    • There is no emergency alarm.
    • This bedroom does not have an adjoining room.
    • The profile beds each work independently.
      The layout configuration can be arranged before arrival.

Seating Area (Front Deck)

  • The seating area is located on the decking at the front of the lodge.
  • The seating area is uncovered.
  • The most accessible route to the seating area has step-free level access.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the seating area.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
  • Seating available in this area includes: sofas and high stools.
  • Furniture available in this area includes: coffee tables.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.
  • There is a hot tub that is wheelchair transfer height on the patio.

Seating Area (The Barn)

  • The seating area is located at the lower end of the field, beyond the lodges.
  • The most accessible route to the seating area has ramps or slopes, uneven surfaces and manual doors.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the seating area.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
  • Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests and sofas.
  • Furniture available in this area includes: tables.
  • There is background noise in this area which varies depending on the function/event .
  • There is a small honesty shop available in the Barn, to the right as you enter.
