Getting In and Around

- There is step-free access via slope at the most accessible entrance.
- There is step-free level access throughout.
- Access throughout may include uneven surfaces, manual doors and narrow openings.
- The following facilities are available: a seat/chair and a hearing assistance system.
- Staff receive the following training: disability awareness training.
- There are electromagnetic locks on many of the doors, including within the escape rooms.
All of the escape rooms include props/puzzles that include magnets. These are generally small/weak magnets, however people with a pacemaker should consult their doctor prior to playing.

- The toilet with adaptations is located along the main corridor within the venue.
- Parent and baby changing facilities are located in the toilet with adaptations.
Parking (Welkin Mill Car Park)
- The car park is located to the front and side of the Welkin Mill building.
- The car park is open air/surface.
- There are 2 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
- The Blue Badge bays are clearly marked.
- There is a marked zone to both sides but not at the rear.
- The most accessible route from the Blue Badge parking has ramps or slopes.
- Parking is free for all users.
- The venue has a drop-off point.
Access To (MoviESCAPE)
- The venue is based within the Welkin Mill building.
On entering the building, follow the corridor round to the right and then turn left.
There are a set of manual double doors to your right, at the top of the ramped entrance.
These doors open outwards so assistance may be required. - The most accessible route has ramps or slopes and manual doors.
- There is step-free access via slope at the accessible entrance.
- The ramp is over 150cm wide with no handrails.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- There is a bell located next to these double doors which is 114cm off the ground.
Visitors are asked to ring the bell and wait for assistance, before proceeding down the ramp to the second door. - There is a second single manual door which opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 90cm.
Reception (with lounge area)
- The reception is located at the far end of the unit, along the long corridor as you enter.
- The journey time to this reception from the accessible entrance is approximately less than 2 minutes.
- The most accessible route to reception has manual doors.
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The height of the reception desk is 93cm.
- There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise in this area which varies depending on the time of day.
- Seating available in this area includes: sofas and chairs without armrests.
- Furniture available in this area includes: booths and tables.
Getting Around (Merlin's Magic Academy)
- There is step-free level access throughout all areas.
- Access throughout may include uneven surfaces, manual doors and narrow openings.
- There is background noise.
- Seating available in the walkways includes: chairs with armrests, chairs without armrests and benches.
- The width of the door into the escape room is 99cm.
This room contains multiple doorways and passageways which may not be suitable for large wheelchairs.
This is a low light area with candlelight flickering effects.
Hints/communication with the game host is via a speaker system.
Getting Around (SAWtopsy)
- There is step-free level access throughout all areas.
- Access throughout may include uneven surfaces and narrow openings.
- There is background noise.
- Seating available in the walkways includes: chairs with armrests.
- The width of the door into the room is 82cm.
This room contains multiple doorways which may not be suitable for large wheelchairs.
There is low lighting throughout.
One room has constant overhead flashing lights.
This escape room contains some videos without subtitles.
Hints/communication with the game host is via text on a screen.
Getting Around (Haunted House II - Demon's Curse)
- There is step-free level access throughout all areas.
- Access throughout may include uneven surfaces.
- There is background noise.
- Seating available in the walkways includes: armchairs, sofas and stools.
- The width of the door into the room is 80cm.
This escape room is extremely low light, players will receive individual torches.
This room contains special effects including; audio and lighting effects, odour effects, strobe lighting, fog/damp/wet conditions and jump scares.
Hints/communication with the game host is via a speaker system.
Room (Function Room)
- The room is located to the right, along the main corridor in the venue.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access.
- There is written text signage on or near the door.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 87cm.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests.
- Furniture available in the room includes: tables.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this room.
- Furniture in this room is moveable and interchangeable.

- There is no vertical grab rail for the toilet.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The toilet seat is 47cm from the floor.
- There is a wall mounted toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a wall mounted soap dispenser and a hand dryer available.
- The wash basin has a sensor tap.
- The vertical grab rail is on the left as you face the wash basin.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The cubicle has a sanitary bin.
- Additional features include: a mirror, a coat hook, a shelf and a baby changing table.
