Parking and Public Transport

- The venue does not have its own car park.
- The nearest train station is Eridge.
- Car parking for the venue is along the Forstal lay-by, off Eridge Road.
- There is a bus stop next to the lay-by.

Getting In and Around
View
- There is step-free access via slope at the most accessible entrance.
- There is step-free level access throughout.
- Access throughout may include uneven surfaces.
- The following facilities are available: a seat/chair.
- Additional equipment which can be borrowed or hired includes: an evac chair.

Toilet and Changing Facilities

- There is not a toilet with adaptations available.
- The shared toilet facilities are located in the far right hand corner of the vineyard.
Access to The Vineyard from the Layby
- Wildwood Vineyard is located along a bridle path which runs parallel to Eridge Road.
- From the Forstal lay-by, proceed along the bridle path towards Crowborough.
- Continue along the path for approximately 400m until you reach the vineyard on the left.
- It is identifiable by a sign near the entrance reading “Wildwood,” with the name displayed over an archway.
- Please note that signage is only present near the vineyard entrance.
- The journey time from the lay-by is approximately approximately 6 minutes.
- The most accessible route has ramps or slopes, manual gates, uneven surfaces and narrow walkways.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide with a handrail on the right going up.
- There is a single manual gate which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 150cm.
Access from Eridge Railway Station
- The journey from Eridge Railway Station is approximately 1 kilometre and includes a sustained steep incline over uneven ground.
- Exit the railway station via the side exit and walk to the end of the road, turning right.
- Proceed uphill along the road, keeping the Huntsman pub on your right-hand side.
- Cross diagonally over the road and go through the gate ahead, onto the public footpath which is along the path marked “Private Road”.
- Continue on the private drive, which passes under the A26, with a stream running along your right.
- Just before the next gate, turn left onto the footpath.
- At this point, the route becomes significantly more challenging, as the footpath climbs steeply uphill for approximately 600+ metres.
- The incline is sustained and demanding throughout this stretch.
- The path surface is rough and uneven, with exposed stones, loose ground, and potential trip hazards along the way.
- The width of the path varies between approximately 75cm and 120cm in different sections.
- Continue along the path until you reach the vineyard on the right.
- It is identifiable by a sign near the entrance reading “Wildwood,” with the name displayed over an archway.
- Please note that signage is only present near the vineyard entrance, and there is no wayfinding signage along the uphill footpath itself.
Outdoor Spaces (The Vineyard)
- The following is available in this area: woodland, farmland and open countryside.
- Outdoor areas consist of wood bark and grass.
- There are footpaths in some areas.
- There are seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have uneven surfaces.
Seating Area (Wine Tasting Area)
- The seating area is located outside the cabin towards the far end of the vineyard.
- The seating area is uncovered, but a large gazebo is erected in the event of bad weather.
- The most accessible route to the seating area has ramps or slopes and uneven surfaces.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests.
- Furniture available in this area includes: tables and picnic tables.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.
- The ground consists of a grass surface.
Standard Toilet Facilities (Composting Toilet)
- The shared standard toilet facilities were surveyed.
- The toilet is located in the far right hand corner of the vineyard.
- The most accessible route has ramps or slopes, uneven surfaces and narrow openings.
- There is step-free access via slope into the toilet.
- There are horizontal grab rails on both sides of the toilet.
- There is a free-standing handwash station outside the toilet cubicle.
