Introduction (Muslim Prayer Space)
- Services / facilities within the building include Two gender specific lobbies, ablution areas and prayer rooms.
- The Prayer Space is located on the first floor of Tremough House, however, the most accessible way to access it is via Tremough House Annexe.

Getting Here (Penryn)

By Road
View
- The Penryn Campus is approximately two hours’ drive from Exeter. From the north, take the A30 west from Exeter until you reach the A39 signposted Truro. Drive through Truro, following the signs A39 to Falmouth. Follow the A39 towards Falmouth until you come to the Treliever roundabout, where you will see signs to the Penryn Campus.
- There is pay and display parking located across campus.

By Bus

- National Express coaches stop in Penryn. For timetables, visit the National Express website or for passenger information phone: +44 (0) 08717 818 181. The U1 bus service from Truro Bus Station drops you direct to the campus.

By Train
View
- The Penryn Campus is approximately two and a half hours by train from Exeter. The campus is in Penryn, which has its own station. There is a frequent direct service to Truro from London, the Midlands and North and other major British cities. At Truro, change to the branch line service to Falmouth and leave the train at Penryn. The station is approximately a 15 minute walk from the campus.

Entrance from Tremough House Annexe to the Prayer Space
- After the second lift at the entrance from Tremough House Annexe, turn right into the corridor via a permanently held open door 80cm wide (shown in photographs 1 and 2).
Continue straight ahead along the corridor, past another permanently held open door 80cm wide (photograph 3).
The entrance to the Prayer Space is at the end of the corridor (photograph 4).

- Once inside the entrance there is a door to the left (shown in photograph 1) which leads to the female prayer areas, and a door to the right (photograph 2) which leads to the male prayer areas.
- These doors lead to foyers, where the respective Ablution and Prayer Rooms can be accessed.
- The Prayer Room itself is divided into gender areas by a movable screen and there is an accessible safety refuge zone at the far end of the Prayer Room, (shown in photographs 7 and 8).
- Once inside the entrance there is a door to the left (shown in photograph 1) which leads to the female prayer areas, and a door to the right (photograph 2) which leads to the male prayer areas.
Ablution Areas
- The Prayer space has two, gender specific Ablution areas, designated Brothers Lobby and Sisters Lobby.
- The Ablution areas are accessed through manual doors that open away from you and the door widths are both 80cm.
- The access is level throughout and there is a non-slip surface in the washing area where the lighting and floor to wall contrast is good.
Emergency Evacuation and Refuge Areas

- The refuge is accessed by opening the refuge door using the standard door handle.
