Overview

  • Stadium View
    • Gateshead International Stadium is an all-seater, bowl-shaped arena primarily designed for international-standard athletics. The only IAAF-standard athletics stadium in the North East, home to Gateshead FC, Gateshead Harriers and Gateshead Storm. It has a total capacity of approximately 11,800 and serves as a major regional hub for sports, fitness, and community events.
    • The East Stand is located opposite the main stand with a capacity of 4,000. It is the primary section for away supporters during football matches.
    • The North & South Terraces are continuous banks of uncovered seating located behind each goal. These are rarely used for football matches as they are positioned significantly far from the pitch, due to the surrounding athletics track.
    • The stadium features an IAAF-standard 400m eight-lane outdoor tartan track and a separate 82-metre indoor athletics area for year-round training, located within the Gateshead College Academy for Sport.
    • The floodlit central grass pitch is used by Gateshead FC and Newcastle United Women.
    • The complex includes five floodlit artificial 3G pitches, one sand-dressed pitch, and three additional grass pitches.
