Getting To The Hospital (Andover War Memorial Hospital)

  • By Road View
    • From the east: Leave the A303 and follow the A3093 sign for Andover. At the first roundabout go straight on towards the town centre. At the second roundabout follow the sign for town centre onto Churchill Way. At the third roundabout follow town centre signs onto Northern Avenue. At the fourth roundabout signs direct you to Andover War Memorial Hospital, which is roughly half a mile further on Charlton Road. From the west: Leave the A303 and follow the A343 sign for Andover. At the first roundabout follow signs for the ring road (Portway Industrial Estate and Charlton). Signs for the ring road should also be followed at the second and third roundabouts. At the fourth roundabout signs will point the way to Andover War Memorial Hospital which is roughly half a mile further on Charlton Road on the right.
    • There are pay on exit parking areas for visitors. Parking is free for Blue Badge holders. Free parking is available for the following patients and visitors: •Patients attending for chemotherapy. •Patients/visitors attending every day after one week of attendance. •Outpatients who have been attending for more than two weeks and continue to attend at least twice a week with the same illness or condition. •Visitors to patients being cared for in the Intensive Care Unit or the neonatal unit. •Visitors to inpatients whose stay in hospital has been more than one week, providing they are visiting every day. •Visitors to inpatients whose stay in hospital has been more than two weeks, providing they are visiting at least twice per week. •Carers staying overnight with children who are inpatients. •Relatives or carers of patients who are receiving end of life care. If you think you are eligible for free parking, please inform the nurse in charge of the patient’s care.
  • By Bus View
    • The hospital is situated on bus route 4. The route is to the Hospital and Drove Estate.

  • By Train View
    • Andover is located on the Salisbury to Basingstoke train line. If using the train from Winchester or Eastleigh, you may have to change at Basingstoke. From Andover station you may catch a number 8, 77 or 87 bus to the town centre and change to a K route service to get to the hospital. If walking or cycling from the station, turn left along Station Approach, keep left until you reach Charlton Road. Turn left and follow Charlton Road to the hospital (on your right). Distance is approximately a third of a mile/half a kilometre.

Getting Help and Assistance (Andover War Memorial Hospital)
