About Herefordshire

Take a trip off the beaten track to Herefordshire. Mooch around our characterful market towns and historic city, eat fabulous food, roam our wild landscapes and enjoy amazing experiences.

Attractions include the iconic Hereford Cathedral and Mappa Mundi, Eastnor Castle, the Museum of Cider and fabulous National Trust properties. Get to know our gorgeous gardens, uncover captivating castle ruins and visit our black and white villages, with their heavenly half-timbered architecture.

The Wye Valley National Landscape and Malvern Hills National Landscape are on the doorstep, along with orchards and vineyards, wild hills and dramatic river valleys.

Loop around country lanes by bike, hike our easy peaks, paddle along the River Wye or take a tour by car. You’ll be surrounded by the drama of the seasons, from the springtime spectacle of the apple blossom through to stunning autumnal colour.

Of course, our contemporary food scene is simply mouth-watering. Eat at award-winning gastropubs and restaurants, meet artisan cider producers and find fantastic local produce at independent farm shops.
