Accommodation Overview (Lodge 4)

  • About View
    • This is one of twelve lodges available at Burnbank Lodges. Nine of the lodges have a balcony to the front of the lodge and three of the lodges have a patio to the side.
      There is one lodge available with twin beds, the remainder have double beds.
    • There is 1 bedroom available.
    • There is step-free level access to all bedrooms.
    • Only assistance dogs are welcomed at this venue.
    • Shared facilities include: a laundry room.

    • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
    • Access throughout may include manual doors and narrow openings.

Parking

  • The car park is located in the centre of each group of 4 lodges.
  • The car park is open air/surface.
  • There are no designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
  • Parking is free for all users.

Entrance

  • This entrance is located to the side of the lodge.
  • There is stepped access at the entrance.
  • There are 3 steps which are unmarked, with no handrails.
  • There is a single manual door at this entrance.
  • The door opens away from you.
  • The width of the opening is 70cm.

Kitchen (with Dining Area)

  • The kitchen is located to the left as you enter the lodge.
  • There is step-free level access into the kitchen.
  • There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
  • The width of the opening is 71cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • The kitchen has under counter cupboards.
  • The work surface is 90cm from the floor.
  • The hob is 94cm from the floor.
  • The oven is not at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • The sink is 90cm from the floor.
  • The sink has a twist/turn tap.
  • Facilities within the kitchen include a fridge freezer, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster.
  • Seating available in the kitchen includes: chairs without armrests.
  • Furniture available in the kitchen includes: tables.

Lounge

  • The lounge is located to the left as you enter, through the kitchen area.
  • There is step-free level access into the lounge.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • Seating available in the lounge includes: sofas.
  • Furniture available in the lounge includes: coffee tables.
  • There is a TV with subtitles.

Standard Bedroom (Double Room)

  • The bedroom surveyed is located directly ahead as you enter the lodge.
  • The most accessible route to the bedroom has step-free level access.
  • There is step-free level access into the bedroom.
  • The door opens inwards.
  • The width of the door opening is 71cm.
  • The bedroom has a double bed.
  • The top of the mattress is 67cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 4cm from the floor.
  • The following is available in this bedroom: bedside plug sockets.

Standard Ensuite

  • There is step-free level access into the ensuite.
  • The ensuite door opens outwards.
  • The width of the door opening is 71cm.
  • There is a wall mounted toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a wall mounted soap dispenser and a hand towel available.
  • The wash basin has a twist/turn tap.
  • Additional features include: a mirror.
  • The ensuite has a shower cubicle.
  • The shower has a fixed shower head and a detachable shower head.
  • The shower controls are twist turn mixer.

Entrance (Balcony Door)

  • This entrance is located to the side of the lounge.
  • The door opens by sliding.
  • The width of the opening is 85cm.
  • There is stepped access as you enter.
  • There is 1 step which is unmarked with no handrails.

Seating Area (Balcony)

  • The seating area is located to the front of the lodge, off the lounge.
  • The seating area is uncovered.
  • The most accessible route to the seating area has a step.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the seating area.
  • There is some room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
  • Seating available in this area includes: chairs with armrests.
  • Furniture available in this area includes: tables.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.

Laundry Room (Shared Facility)

  • The laundry room is located to the front of the site.
  • There is stepped access into the laundry room.
  • There are 2 steps which are unmarked with no handrails.
  • There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
  • The width of the opening is 77cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • Facilities within the room include a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
  • The following machines are at a suitable height for a wheelchair user: washing machine and tumble dryer.
  • There is a small shop available with an honesty box policy.

Room (The Drying Room)

  • The room is located to the rear of the laundry room.
  • The most accessible route to the room has a step.
  • There is stepped access into the room.
  • There is 1 step which is clearly marked with no handrails.
  • The width of the opening is 67cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
  • There is not a hearing assistance system.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise in this room.
