Stadium Tour Information

  • Stadium tours are available on most days and are by appointment only.
  • Tours can be booked by phone or at the Revell Ward Stand main reception.
  • The main stadium tour encompasses a number of steps along the way and will not be suitable for wheelchair users.
  • There is an accessible tour route available and this access guide provides information about this route.
  • If you require the accessible tour please mention this when making a booking.
  • The duration of the tour is approximately 35-45 minutes.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • M62 Eastbound from Manchester
      Exit the M62 at Junction 24 onto the A629 and follow the signs towards Huddersfield Town Centre. After approximately two miles follow the signs for the Stadium, turning left on to Castlegate Ring Road, turn left onto Leeds Road (A62) then follow the official car park signs.
      M62 Westbound from Leeds
      Exit the M62 at Junction 25 onto the A644 (Wakefield Road). At the junction with the A62 take the second exit towards Huddersfield (Leeds Road) A62. Continue along this road for approximately three miles, and then follow the official car park signs.
      M1 from the North/South
      Exit the M1 at Junction 42 and continue West on the M62. Exit the M62 at Junction 25 onto the A644 (Wakefield Road). At the junction with the A62 take the second exit towards Huddersfield (Leeds Road) A62. Continue along this road for approximately three miles then follow the official car park signs.
    • There are two car parks at the stadium; The Town Avenue Car Park and St Andrew's Car Park.

Parking (Town Avenue Car Park)

    • The car park is located off Bradley Mills Road.
    • The car park type is open air/surface.

Reception (The Core Stand - Hospitality Main Reception)

    • There is step-free access to the reception point.

Revell Ward Stand Main Reception to the Level 4 Executive Seating Area

  • The tour meeting point is in the Revell Ward Stand main reception area.
  • The reception area has step-free access throughout.
  • The tour starts by using the main lift to access Level 4.
  • When exiting the lift, you proceed through the set of manual double doors (100cm wide) immediately ahead of you.
  • There are then 8 medium height steps with handrails on both sides leading up to the hospitality seating area.
  • At this point of the tour there will be a short talk about the stadium.
  • This is also an opportunity to take photos of the stadium.
  • Visitors unable to access the steps will hear the short talk at pitchside.
  • The tour then proceeds down to Level 3 via the lift.

Other Floors (The Core Stand - Hospitality)

  • Stairs View
    • Stairs can be used to access other floors.
    • The stairs are for public use.
    • The stairs are located to the left of reception, next to the seating area.
    • The stairs are approximately 17m from the main entrance.
    • Signs indicating the location of the stairs are not available from the entrance.
    • There are manual, double doors which may be difficult to open to enter and exit the stairwell on the ground floor.
    • The floors which are accessible by stairs are 1, 2, 3 and 4.
    • There are 15+ steps between floors.
    • The height of the step(s) is/are between the recommended 15cm and 18cm.
    • The depth of the step(s) is/are between the recommended 30cm and 45cm.
    • The steps are clearly marked.
    • There is a/are handrail(s) at the step(s).
    • The steps have a handrail on both sides.
    • Handrails are at the recommended height (90cm-100cm).

  • There are a set of double doors leading into The Revell Ward Suite.
  • The doors have an opening width of 140cm.
  • On entering the suite there is a short talk about the room and what it is used for.
  • The tour then moves on to view an executive box.
  • The executive box is accessed via a single width door.
  • The opening width is over 75cm.
  • At this point of the tour there is a brief talk about the boxes.
  • A view of the pitch and a photo opportunity are available at this point.
  • The tour then proceeds down to Level 2 via the main lift.

The John Smith's Suite, The Boardroom and the Director's Seating Area - Level 2

  • After exiting the lift on Level 2 the tour proceeds to the John Smith’s Suite.
  • There is step-free access throughout Level 2.
  • The surface of the corridor is carpet.
  • There are a set of double doors leading into the John Smith’s Suite.
  • The surface within the suite consists of carpet and vinyl.
  • At this point of the tour there is a short talk about the suite.
  • The John Smith’s Suite becomes The White Rose Club on matchdays.
  • The tour then proceeds to The Boardroom.
  • There are a set of double doors leading into The Boardroom.
  • The doors have an opening width of 130cm.
  • There are trophy cabinets and memorabilia within the room.
  • At this point of there tour there is another short talk.
  • The Boardroom is shared between Huddersfield Town Football Club and the Huddersfield Giants.
  • From The Boardroom the tour proceeds to the Directors seating area.
  • The route is via a set of double doors with an opening width of 140cm.
  • Access to the Directors seating area is via 15 clearly marked steps.
  • These steps have handrails on both sides.
  • There is a short talk and a photo opportunity at this section of the tour.
  • The tour then proceeds down to pitchside.
  • Visitors unable to access the steps will take the accessible route (via lift) down to Level 1.

Accessible Route from Level 2 to Pitchside and Dugouts, via The Players Tunnel

  • When exiting the lift on Level 1 turn left and proceed through the single door.
  • This door has an opening width of 72cm.
  • The surface of the lift lobby is tiled.
  • There is step-free access throughout.
  • Along the corridor are two further single doors.
  • The doors have an opening width of 73cm.
  • Please note - If these doors are not suitable there is a more accessible route to pitchside. Please ask for a member of staff for more information.
  • The surface of the corridors leading to the players tunnel is carpet.
  • There are a set of double doors leading to the players tunnel.
  • These doors have an opening width of 120cm.
  • Proceed through the players tunnel until the next set of double doors.
  • These doors have an opening width of 200cm and access pitchside.

Pitchside/Dugouts

  • The surface to pitchside and the dugouts is artificial turf.
  • At this point of the tour there is a short talk about the dugouts and matchday events.
  • This is also an opportunity to sit in the dugouts and take photos of the stadium.
  • The dugouts are sheltered.
  • The seats do not have armrests.

Pitchside/Dugouts to the Changing Rooms

  • From pitchside the tour proceeds through the players tunnel.
  • At the top of the players tunnel turn left onto the changing rooms corridor.
  • There is step-free access throughout the changing rooms corridor.
  • The surface of the changing rooms corridor is blistered vinyl.
  • The tour proceeds along the corridor where the home changing room is located on the left.

Home Changing Room

  • The home changing room entrance is single width and opens away from you (push).
  • This door has an opening width of 74cm.
  • There is step-free access throughout the home changing room.
  • The surface of the home changing room is vinyl.
  • There is bench seating located around the edge of the changing room.
  • There is a brief talk about the changing room and an opportunity to take photos.
  • The tour will then return to the changing room corridor.

Changing Rooms to the Media Room

  • The tour continues along the changing rooms corridor towards the Media Room.
  • There is step-free access throughout the corridor.
  • The surface of the corridor is blistered vinyl.
  • There are two sets of double doors on this corridor.
  • These doors have an opening width of 110cm.
  • After the second set of double doors, the surface of corridor changes to carpet.
  • The Media Room is located off this corridor.

Media Room

  • There is a single door to access the Media Room.
  • The door opens towards you and has an opening width of 85cm.
  • Within the room there is a short talk about the media and the room itself.
  • There is a photo opportunity within the room.
  • The platform is accessed via a deep (20cm) step.
  • The tour will then return to the corridor and proceed through a set of double doors.
  • These doors have an opening width of 110cm.
  • There is an accessible toilet and standard toilet on this corridor.
  • The tour will then proceed back to the main reception.

Accessible Toilet(s) (Media Room Corridor)

  • There is an/are accessible toilet(s) for public use.
  • Location and Access View
