Toilet and Changing Facilities

Parking

  • Car Park View
    • The car park is located at the front of the venue, after entering the grounds.
    • The car park is open air/surface.
    • The car park surface consists of tarmac.
    • There are 15+ designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
    • The Blue Badge bays are clearly marked.
    • The surveyed Blue Badge parking bay dimensions are 250cm (width) x 550cm (depth).
    • The hatched/marked zones vary between bays.

  • There is step-free level access throughout the area.
  • Access throughout the area may include uneven surfaces.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).

  • There is background noise in this area which varies depending on the time of day.
  • There are wash basins with push button taps for visitors in this area. The standard wash basin height is 84cm and there is a lowered basin at a height of 63cm. There are portable steps if required, and the paper towel dispensers at a height of 120cm.

Exhibition Space (Upper Level Area - Hoofed Animals, Birds and Penguins)

  • This area is outdoors.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
  • The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: some of the walkways around the animal enclosures and the central education space.
  • Access throughout may include uneven surfaces.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • The following may be experienced here: strong smells and sudden loud noises.
  • There may be background noise.
  • Display information includes: tactile, pictorial and information boards.
  • There is not a hearing assistance system.
