Overview

Toilet and Changing Facilities

  • Toilet Facilities View

Parking

  • Car Park View
    • The car park is located in front of the hotel entrance and around the side of the building.
    • The car park is open air/surface.
    • The car park surface consists of loose chippings, concrete and block paving.
    • There are 2 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
    • The Blue Badge bays are signposted but have no markings.

Getting Around The Building

    • There is a fixed height shower head.
    • The shower controls are lever mixer.
    • There is a flip-down shower seat.
    • The shower seat is 59cm from the floor.
    • There is a dropdown rail for the shower.
    • The dropdown rail has a low visual contrast.
    • There is no emergency alarm for the shower.

Pool

  • This is an indoor swimming pool.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
  • Access throughout this area may include uneven surfaces and slippery surfaces.
  • Seating available around the pool includes: chairs with armrests and benches.
  • Some chairs are fixed.
  • There is an emergency alarm at poolside.
  • Lighting levels vary due to the size of the space.
  • Access into the water is via a ladder or steps.
  • Additional facilities include: a jacuzzi and poolside showers.
  • There are 3 steps for the ladder with easy to grip handrails on both sides.
    Additionally, there are 5 steps into the pool near the entrance that are clearly marked.
    The pool is staffed via live CCTV which is monitored.
    The jacuzzi is accessed by 2 steps with handrails after the initial step up onto the platform.

Stairs

  • The stairs surveyed are located to the left as you enter via the leisure club entrance.
  • Floors 0 and 1 can be accessed by these stairs.
  • There are 19 steps between floors.
  • The steps have some clear markings and have handrails on both sides.
  • The handrails are not easy to grip.
  • The handrails cover the flight of stairs throughout its length.
  • The handrails do not extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.
  • The height of the steps is between 15cm and 18cm.
  • The height of the highest step is 17cm.
  • The depth of the steps is not between 30cm and 45cm.
  • Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade and unshaded light sources.
