    • The Disability Advisory Service supports students who are disabled, have specific learning difficulties, or have other short-term or long-term conditions.

Access To

  • The Disability Advisory Service (DAS) is located on level 5 of the Sherfield Building.
  • The route to the DAS is left out of the main lifts, and through the Careers Service area.
  • Visitors are advised to follow the flip-up signage showing directions to the DAS.
  • View information on Sherfield Building (opens new tab).
  • The most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift, doors permanently held open, automatic doors and narrow walkways.
  • There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
  • There is step-free level access into the Disability Advisory Service area.

Waiting Area (Room SHER.508)

  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The width of the opening is 146cm.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the room.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
  • The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
