Introduction

Location of Toilet/Changing Facilities

  • Accessible toilet facilities are located on the lower ground, ground and second floors.
  • Gender Neutral standard toilet facilities are located near the lift and in the restaurant on the lower ground floor, plus near the lift on the ground floor.
  • Female standard toilet facilities are located near the lift on the ground floor, plus near the lift and by the Octagon entrance on the first and second floors.
  • Male standard toilet facilities are located near the lift on the ground floor, plus near the lift on the first floor and by the Octagon entrance on the first floor and second floors.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The IDS is located on the University of Sussex campus, located to the north of Brighton, accessed off the A27.
      Leave the A27 at the junction signposted for the University of Sussex, follow the Eastern Ring Road, continue on Boiler House Hill, and on Arts Road. finally, turn left onto Library road and the Institute is on your right.
    • The most accessible car park for the IDS is the University of Sussex P7 Multi-storey car park. This car park is pay and display and is located on Arts Road.
      There are also two visitor Blue Badge bays at the front of the IDS building (photographs 1 and 2). If you need to use one of these bays, please contact IDS before your visit – and display a Blue Badge. You can email IDS at [email protected] or telephone +44 (0)1273 606261.

    • There is not a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
