Overview

  • About View
    • A forever home and exceptional care for donkeys and equines on the Isle of Wight. Founded in 1987, the venue is a charity, and relies entirely on donations and fundraising to help look after the animals.
    • The following is available here: animal enclosures, a café, farmland, outbuildings, rides, stables, a visitor centre and woodland.

  • Getting Around View
    • The following areas have step-free access via slopes or ramps: access to the cafe, shop and some pathways around the site.
    • Circulation routes around the site consist of: surfaced footpaths, unsurfaced paths, gravel paths, trails and grassed areas.
    • Some resting areas are available along circulation routes.
    • Wayfinding signage is provided.
    • Map boards are provided.
  • Getting Help and Assistance View
    • You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair.
    • Organised visits and guided tours are available.
    • The venue offers quiet visiting times.
    • A Donkey Experience is available for people with limited mobility.
    • There is a water bowl available for assistance dogs.
    • There is not a designated assistance dog spending area.
    • Staff receive the following training: Disability Awareness and First Aid Training, Fire Marshall and Health and Safety Training.
