Getting To The Hospital (Chorley and South Ribble Hospital)

By Road
View
- Chorley and South Ribble Hospital is located on Preston Road.
The hospital can be accessed via the M61 to the east, by taking exit 8 onto the A674. Then take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto the A6 and proceed onto Preston Road. The hospital will be on the left.
Or the hospital can be accessed via the M6 to the north-west, by taking exit 28 exit onto the B5256. Then proceed along Wigan Road that is on the right until you reach Euxton Lane on the left. Proceed on Euxton Lane, going straight at the roundabout. The hospital will be on the right. For the sat nav location enter PR7 1PP. - Patient and visitor car parking is available within car parks, B, K, N, which are located at the front of or on the left side of the hospital grounds. There are clearly marked Blue Badge bays located beside the hospital entrances. Blue Badge parking is free, but a permit must be obtained from the General Office that is within the lobby of the hospitals main entrance.
- Chorley and South Ribble Hospital is located on Preston Road.

By Bus

- There are several bus stops located on Euxton Lane and Preston Road. The services provided at these bus stops include the 114, 119, 125C, 125 Gold, 415, 727, 780, 786, and 787.

- The hospital has an onsite bus stop located at the front of the hospital grounds, beside the Assessment and Treatment Centre entrance.
- The onsite bus stop is sheltered and has benched seating available.

Turn right and continue straight, going down a slight slope to a four-way junction.
Go straight ahead at this junction and continue along this corridor as it bends to the right.
Turn left at the end of the corridor and continue towards the end of the corridor.
Turn left again, follow the corridor to the end, and go through the corridor entrance.
Proceed to the left and then the lift 8 will be directly in front of you.
Take lift 8 to Level 4 of the hospital.
Exit the lift and proceed ahead. The Hazelwood Ward and Cardiac Unit entrance will be on the left. - There is ramped/sloped and lift access to Hazelwood Ward.
- Hazelwood Ward is approximately 7m from the lift 8.
- There is a/are manual, double door(s) which may be difficult to open between the lift 8 lobby and the department/service.
- There are not resting areas along the route.
- Wayfinding signage is provided.
- Dementia friendly signage is not provided.
- There is flooring in corridors which is shiny and could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
