Getting To The Hospital (Chorley and South Ribble Hospital)

  • By Road View
    • Chorley and South Ribble Hospital is located on Preston Road. The hospital can be accessed via the M61 to the east, by taking exit 8 onto the A674. Then take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto the A6 and proceed onto Preston Road. The hospital will be on the left.
      Or the hospital can be accessed via the M6 to the north-west, by taking exit 28 exit onto the B5256. Then proceed along Wigan Road that is on the right until you reach Euxton Lane on the left. Proceed on Euxton Lane, going straight at the roundabout. The hospital will be on the right. For the sat nav location enter PR7 1PP.
    • Patient and visitor car parking is available within car parks, B, K, N, which are located at the front of or on the left side of the hospital grounds. There are clearly marked Blue Badge bays located beside the hospital entrances. Blue Badge parking is free, but a permit must be obtained from the General Office that is within the lobby of the hospitals main entrance.
  • By Bus View
    • There are several bus stops located on Euxton Lane and Preston Road. The services provided at these bus stops include the 114, 119, 125C, 125 Gold, 415, 727, 780, 786, and 787.
    • There is an onsite bus stop.
    • The hospital has an onsite bus stop located at the front of the hospital grounds, beside the Assessment and Treatment Centre entrance.
    • The onsite bus stop is sheltered and has benched seating available.
    • To reach the desired entrance from the bus stop there are road crossings. There may be a slight slope on the approach.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest train station is Chorley. The station is located along Chapel Street and is approximately 1.7 miles from the hospital.

Getting To (Outpatients - Suite 3)

  • Enter the hospital via the Assessment and Treatment Centre entrance and continue through the entrance lobby.
    Exit the lobby via the corridor entrance at the rear of the lobby and to the right of the help desk.
    Proceed along the Assessment and Treatment Centre corridor.
    Towards the end of this corridor, the entrance to Outpatients will be on the right.
    Enter the Outpatients department. The Outpatients Reception is to the left.
    Continue along the corridor opposite the Outpatients Reception.
    The entrance to the Discharge Lounge and Outpatients Suite 1 to 4 is directly ahead.
    Go through this entrance, turn left and enter the Discharge Lounge.
    Continue through the Discharge Lounge and follow the corridor to the right of the Discharge Lounge reception.
    Turn slightly left, then right and go through the corridor entrance.
    Continue straight until you reach a 2-way junction.
    At this junction turn left and the opening to Outpatients - Suite 3 will be directly ahead.
  • There is step free access to Outpatients - Suite 3.
  • Outpatients - Suite 3 is approximately 100m from the Assessment and Treatment Centre entrance.
  • There is a/are manual, double door(s) which may be difficult to open between the Discharge Lounge and the department/service.
