Introduction (The Rose Bowl To Electric Press)

Rose Bowl To JD Weatherspoons

  • From the Rose Bowl Civic Hall Entrance, follow the path towards Portland Crescent with the Civic Hall on your right.
  • The path is block paving and has an easy slope with a width in excess of 150cm, which passes some slightly raised drain covers and a bike shed to your left.
  • You will approach the junction with Portland Crescent within about 22 metres and you will notice a barrier to your right to allow traffic access to the small car park outside the Rose Bowl City Campus Civic Hall Entrance. Just as you are about to pass this barrier (which will be on your right) the path narrows to 120cm to pass by some metal bollards. At this point the path becomes more of an easy uneven slope with more slightly raised drain covers and you will approach Portland Crescent.
  • You will now see a dropped kerb to the right to cross the road which is uneven and is on a more moderate slope downhill and you will notice the barrier to the car park is to your right.
  • You will cross the road using the well marked out dropped kerbs heading down Portland Crescent. The path is now a moderate slope downhill passing the Civic Hall on your right and the O2 Academy on your left.
  • The path is still block paving and now over 150cm in width again with a moderate slope downhill with some slight raised drain covers in the pathway.
  • After about 25metres you will see some bollards in the path as Portland Crescent becomes Portland Gate at a left turn in the road.
  • At these bollards the path narrows to around 120cm and you will need to go straight ahead through the bollards with the Civic Hall on your right still and Portland Gate to your left.
  • As you pass through the bollards the path widens out to well over 150cm and is a moderate slope downhill with the some slightly raised drain covers as you continue.
  • After about 25metres you will see JD Weatherspoons on your left and the Leeds City Council building on your right with Millennium Square in front of you.
  • The total length of this part of the journey is around 77metres.

JD Weatherspoons To Electric Press

  • From JD Weatherspoons on your left and Leeds City Council building on your right, go straight ahead through the Millennium Square.
  • The path is still block paving and is an easy slope downhill with some uneven sections due to the block paving and some occasional raised drain covers.
  • You will see the Electric Press Building ahead and slightly to your left, the Millennium Square Entrance is just to the left of the Carriageworks Theatre and Leeds City Museum will be on your right.
  • As you approach the Millennium Square Entrance you will notice the path is a little more uneven and becomes an easy slope uphill as you reach the entrance.
  • The total length of this part of the journey is about 30metres.
