Getting To The Hospital

  • By Road View
    • Leeds General Infirmary is located on Great George Street.
      The hospital can be accessed via the A6120 to the north, taking the exit on to Otley Road and continuing onto Headingley Lane and Woodhouse Lane, or from the M621 to the south. taking the exit on to the A643 and continuing onto the A58, Westgate and Calverley Street.
      For sat nav location enter LS1 3EX.
    • Patient and visitor car parking is available within the multi-storey car park, which is located along Clarendon Way, at the front right side of the hospital grounds.
      There are clearly marked Blue Badge bays located within the multi-storey car park.
      There are also marked Blue Badge bays located in front of the entrances to each individual wing.
      Blue Badge parking is free.
  • By Bus View
    • There are several bus stops located on Clarendon Way.
      The services provided at these bus stops include the 5 Electric.
    • There is an onsite bus stop.
    • There is an onsite bus stop available on the roundabout on Clarendon Way, at the front right side of the hospital grounds.
    • The on site bus stop is sheltered and has no benched seating available.
    • To reach the desired wing or building from the bus stop, there are road crossings. There may be slight and steep slopes on the approach.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest train station is Leeds.
      The station is located along New Station Street and is approximately 1 mile from the hospital.

Getting Help and Assistance

Getting To (Clarendon Wing - Ward L50)

  • Enter the Clarendon Wing Accessible Entrance, go past reception and then left into the corridor. Turn right then left into the lift lobby. Take the lift to Floor D and on exiting the lift turn right and continue to the corridor. Turn right along the corridor then left and continue along the corridor. The corridor bends to the left. Continue to the Ward L50 entrance on the right.
  • There is step free access to Ward L50.
  • Ward L50 is approximately 110m from the lift.
  • There are not resting areas along the route.
  • Wayfinding signage is provided.
  • Dementia friendly signage is provided.
  • There is flooring in corridors which is shiny and could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
  • There is some flooring in corridors which includes patterns or colours which could be confusing or look like steps or holes to some people.
