Entrance

The Worker's Cottage
- All exhibits are indoors.
- The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: the ground floor living room and kitchen.
- The following areas have stepped access: the Children's Room, the Master Bedroom and the first floor exhibits.
- Access throughout may include doors permanently held open, narrow walkways and narrow openings.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There may be background noise.
- Display information includes: pictorial, information boards, touchscreens and a mobile app.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Seating available in this area includes: chairs with armrests and chairs without armrests.
- The tour is self-guided but volunteers/staff are available to provide additional information.
- The following areas of the tour have stepped access: the first floor.
- Access throughout the tour may include doors permanently held open and narrow walkways.
- Areas with stepped access only can be experienced by visitors via a virtual tour.
Stairs
- The stairs surveyed are located directly ahead as you enter the building.
