  • There are services on the ground floor of the Library in the Learning Centre (Holloway Campus) and Calcutta House (Aldgate Campus).
    They provide information or help to Students with technical or other issues (Techsmart Desk and Library Services/ Information).
    The services are also available online for Students from either Campus.
    The TechSmart desk can help with various issues such as changing passwords, printer access, Wi-Fi access, weblearn queries, evision queries (accessing journals and books away from the University) and can provide information on available software and laptop loans.

Getting Around (The Yellow Zone)

    • There is stepped access to rooms AB1-23 to AB1-28 on the 1st floor as the platform lift is not currently working.
      Room TM1-14 only has stepped access.
      The male standard toilets on the first and second floors by Lift V have stepped access.
  • Circulation View

    • The type of flooring in corridors/walkways is laminate, wood and vinyl.
    • There is some flooring in corridors/walkways which is shiny and could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.

      On the first floor at the top of Stair 9 there are a few armchairs, and a few computers on a table with a lowered section.
      The high table with stools is 109cm high and the low section is 73cm high with a 60cm knee recess.
      There is a sign indicating that wheelchair users have priority the 2 computers on the lower section (photographs 7-10).
      There is a breakout area in the same location in between Stair 13 and Lift V on the 1st to 3rd floors. They have slight differences and are all accessed via a slight ramp from the lift detailed in the ramp/level change section.
      1st floor - Photographs 11-14 show some of the corridors.
      The breakout area (photographs 15-18) has armchairs, benches, sofas and tables from 45-105cm high.
      The water fountain is 112cm high and the printer's screen is 100cm high.
      2nd floor - Photograph 19 shows an example of the corridors.
      The breakout area (photographs 20-25) has laptops for loan with the touch screen 103-134cm high and the 36 lockers being from 29cm to 170cm (photograph 20). There is a central booth with a bench 44cm high and a table 74cm high with a 72cm high knee recess. There is a 115cm to 170cm space for a wheelchair user (photographs 21 and 22). The water fountain is pedal activated. 3rd floor - Photograph 26 gives an example of the corridors. The breakout area (photographs 27-30) has a table with 2 heights (106cm and 75cm high) with a clear knee recess. There are various moveable small tables (65cm high) and the water fountain is 120cm high.
