    • There is an intercom.
    • The height of the intercom is 119cm (3ft 11in).
    • A key card is required for access at this entrance.
    • The height of the key card reader is 104cm.
    • The main door(s) open(s) automatically (away from you).
    • The door(s) is/are single width.
    • The width of the door opening is 100cm.
    • There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance, with a height of 2cm or below.

Tower Block Main Entrance to Security Barriers

  • Enter through the single, automatic door at the front of the Tower Block.
  • The width of the door is 100cm.
  • The automatic door opens away from you.
  • The height of the bell buzzer is 119cm and the height of the card reader is 104cm.
  • There is a slight slope in front of the entrance.
  • To the far right of the security barriers is the accessible security barrier.
  • The width of the security barrier is 94cm and the card reader height is 100cm.
  • There is a slight slope in front of the security barrier.
  • The flooring is tiled and has a very shiny finish which could cause issues with glare or be perceived as slippery.
  • The lighting level is good.

Security Barriers to Courtyard Entrance

  • As you enter through the security barriers, continue ahead towards the stair case and turn right.
  • Follow the corridor and enter through two sets of manual, double doors that are permanently held open.
  • The width of the first set of doors is 138cm and the width of the second set of doors is 181cm.
  • Continue ahead passing the cafĂ© which is on the left hand side.
  • Take a left before the staircase and the entrance to the courtyard is ahead.
  • There are two sets of double automatic doors to enter the courtyard.
  • The width of the first set of doors is 153cm and the width of the second set is 148cm.
  • There is a steep ramp/slope beyond the second set of doors that does not have any handrails.
  • The width of the ramp/slope is 176cm.
  • The flooring is tiled, vinyl/laminate and has a very shiny finish which could cause issues with glare or be perceived as slippery.
  • The lightening level is moderate to good.

Outside Access (Courtyard Entrance from Blue Met Lounge - Door 2)

    • The width of the door opening is 150cm.
    • There is a second set of doors.
    • The door(s) open(s) automatically (away from you).
    • The door(s) is/are double width.
    • The width of the door opening is 144cm.
  • Ramp/Slope View
    • The ramp/slope is located beyond the second set of doors.
    • The gradient of the ramp/slope is steep.

Courtyard Entrance to J Block

  • Enter the courtyard and turn left towards the ramp/slope.
  • There is a drainage system at the top of the ramp/slope that is slightly uneven.
  • Head down the ramp/slope to access the lower level of the courtyard.

  • The minimum width of the ramp/slope is 115cm.
  • At the bottom of the ramp/slope head across the courtyard to J block (Building number 5) approximately 25 meters.

J Block Entrance to J Block Touchdown Area

  • There is stepped or ramped/sloped access for J Block (Building 5).
  • The ramp/slope is steep and has handrails on both sides.
  • The minimum width of the ramp is 142cm.
  • There is a 150x150cm turn space at the top of the ramp/slope.
  • Alternatively, there are four 16cm steps with a hand rail on the right hand side.
  • The steps are not clearly marked.
  • The manual, double doors are permanently held open and have a width of 154cm (photograph 6).
  • Enter through the doors and immediately turn right, there is a set of manual, double doors that open towards you (pull) and have a width of 136cm (photograph 7).
