Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free and level.
- The step-free approach is for the main entrance and rear entrance, whilst there is a slope on the approach to the side entrance.
- The Education Centre has three entrances. The side entrance provides step-free level access to the ground floor whilst the rear entrance provides stepped access to the ground floor. There are manual doors at each entrance, with a large, heavy gate prior to the side entrance.
- The main entrance is signed as the 'London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine' whilst the other entrances are not signed.
- The most accessible entrance (the main entrance) provides step-free access via a ramp to the reception foyer on the ground floor.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
- On floor G, there are 2 slight slopes next to the toilets on the right side of the building.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are carpeted and smooth.
- There are seating areas in circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
