Access Guide
Overview - Tour

- A step-free tour route can be provided on request, please ask for more information on booking.
- There are toilets with adaptations located at various locations along the tour route.
- There are Changing Places facilities located next to the pavilion building and next to the Compton Stand.
Entrance (Museum)
- This entrance is located to the side of the museum building, opposite Coronation Garden.
- The entrance area is clearly signed.
- There is not a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
- There is step-free access via a slope at the entrance.
- The slope has a slight gradient.
- There are double automatic doors.
- The doors open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 150cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
- There is a push pad or push button to exit at a height of 95cm.
Reception (Museum)

Generic (Tour Start - Lord's Museum)
- On arrival enter the grounds via the No.6 Gate, whilst the Grace Gate is closed during construction work.
- Upon entering the grounds, head to the MCC Museum and go to the reception.
- Prior to the tour starting, visitors have an opportunity to explore the museum.
- The tour begins with an introductory talk in the museum.
- After the talk, the tour exits the museum and moves onto the pavilion building.
Entrance (Pavilion - North Side)
- This entrance is located at the front of the Pavilion.
- The approach to the entrance has uneven surfaces and bollards.
- The entrance area is clearly signed.
- There is a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
- There is step-free access via a slope at the entrance.
- The slope has a slight gradient.
- There are double manual doors.
- The doors open away from you.
- One of the doors was locked at the time of the survey.
- The locked door can be opened on request.
- The width of the opening is 130cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.

Lift (Pavilion)
- The lift surveyed is located to the right as you enter the Pavilion.
- The distance from the north side entrance is 10m.
- The most accessible route to the lift has step-free level access.
- Doors are held open along the most accessible route.
- This route has narrow walkways.

Standard Lift

- The basement, lower ground floor, ground floor and floors 1 to 2 can be accessed by this lift.
- The lift door has a low colour contrast.
- The lift does not have a level manoeuvring space in front of it for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).

- Upon entering the pavilion, the tour moves into the Long Room where there is a talk and opportunity for photos.
- After the Long Room, the tour moves up to the second floor.
- The main tour route is via stairs but these can be bypassed by using the lift.
- On the first floor the tour covers the home and away dressing rooms, where there is a talk and opportunity for photos.
- There is bench seating available in the dressing rooms.
- After the dressing rooms, the tour returns to the ground floor and exit’s the building before going along the walkway to one of the stands.
Generic (Lord's Stands)
- After the tour leaves the pavilion, the tour moves along the concourse walkway.
- There is step-free access along the walkway.
- The main tour route goes into the spectator seating area in the Grand Stand.
- There is stepped only access to the spectator seating area.
- There is a talk and opportunity to take photos.
- There are flip-down seats available in the seating area.
- For tours which require step-free access, the tour route will go to either the front of the Edrich Stand where there is step-free access and designated wheelchair spaces.
- From the stands, the tour route moves to the Barclays Media Centre stopping at the Father Time Wall and at the nursery end of the ground.
Lift (Barclays Media Centre)
- The lift surveyed is located at the front of the Barclays Media Centre.
- The most accessible route to the lift has step-free level access.
- There are no doors to open along the most accessible route.
- This route has uneven surfaces and bollards.

Generic (Tour Finish - Barclays Media Centre)
- After the nursey ground, the tour moves to the Barclays Media Centre.
- There are two lifts to the media centre.
- In the media centre there is a tiered seating area overlooking the pitch.
- There is level access to the rear of the seating area.
- There is a talk and a photo opportunity.
- After the talk is completed, the tour moves back down the lift and the tour is completed.
- There is an opportunity for visitors to go to the shop before leaving the grounds.
